Parent Support and Education Intern

Description: DSI is seeking a Parent Support and Education Intern to assist with DSI programs
and outreach efforts. The Parent Support and Education Intern would report to Stephanie
Garner, Program Coordinator. This is an unpaid internship.

Qualifications: An ideal intern would be creative, possess good written and oral communication skills, and have a passion to work closely with DSI’s families and other volunteers who also serve individuals with disabilities.

Development and Fundraising Intern

Description: DSI is seeking a Development and Fundraising Intern to assist with grant writing. This internship would last for an entire semester. Interested students will need to complete an application and interview if selected. This is an unpaid internship.

Qualifications: An ideal intern would be familiar with grant writing, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and have a passion to work on behalf of individuals with disabilities.

Special Events Intern

Description: We are seeking Special Events Interns each semester to assist with DSI’s Buddy Walks and Special Events.

Qualifications: An ideal intern would possess well written and oral communication skills and have a passion to work on behalf of individuals with disabilities. This is an unpaid internship.

Policy Intern 

Description: DSI is seeking a Public Policy Intern to assist with Down Syndrome Indiana’s public policy advocacy. This internship would last for one semester. An intern is needed each semester (Spring, Summer, & Fall). This is an unpaid internship.

Qualifications: An ideal intern would have a desire to learn about and work within the field of local, state or national policy and advocacy. The individual would also possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have a passion to work on behalf of individuals with a disability.

Program Intern

Description: We are seeking Program Interns each semester to assist with DSI’s programming.
