September 29 – DSI Dancers Cheering at Unified Flag Classic!

Is your loved one with Ds interested in joining the DSI dancers as they cheer with the Colt’s Cheerleaders on Tuesday, September 29th when the Colts host a Unified Flag Football Classic with Special Olympics Indiana!? Individuals with Down syndrome ages 10 and over are welcome to participate. This event will take place from 5pm-7:30pm at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. October 3 at 9 AM 2026 – Buddy Walk® Indianapolis

Join us for the 2026 Buddy Walk® Indy at White River State Park! Check In and Fun Family Activities begin at 9:00am, Opening Ceremony at 10:00am, and Walk at 10:21am.

October 3 – DSI Self Advocates Club 21 Team at Buddy Walk®

We’re so excited to see our Down Syndrome Indiana Self Advocates Club 21 Team at Buddy Walk® this October! Stop by the New Parent Tent to meet Tia Spaulding, our new Adult Program Coordinator, and join her for the ½-mile walk alongside fellow Self Advocates and families. Let’s see how many of us can come together and represent Club 21! Want to make a sign for the walk? Come as early as 8:00 AM! We’ll have supplies ready for you to create something fun to carry or display. The Buddy Walk officially begins at 9:00 AM. You can also support the DSI Self Advocates Club 21 Team by donating or sharing the team page with friends and family!

October 3 – Black Family Village of DSI Reunion at Buddy Walk®

Join DSI Black Family Village as we gather at the Indianapolis Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 3rd at the White River State Park. We would like for everyone to meet up at the vendor tent at 9:30A.M. Bring a picnic lunch for after the walk, meet up with other families, and enjoy all the fun and festivities of the walk together. We hope you’ll join us for this special day! October 13 – DSI D.A.D.S. Monthly Meeting

The DSI chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome will be meeting Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:30 PM at George’s Neighborhood Grill (6935 Lake Plaza Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46220). DSI D.A.D.S. will pick up the check for your meal and the soft drinks. (Alcoholic drinks are available but you pay for those on your own.)

October 17 – DSI Terre Haute at Hobson Farm

Fall is a wonderful time of year, and Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute annual trip to Hobson Farm is always one of our best attended family events! Join us on October 17th from 11AM-3PM for a day of fall fun as families enjoy all the activities Hobson Farm has to offer and making memories together. Lunch will also be provided like years past. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your family while building friendships and connecting with other families in our local Down syndrome community. October 17 – DSI Self-Advocate Halloween Dance

Join the DSI Self Advocates on Saturday, October 17th from 1:00 – 3:00PM for a Halloween Dance! Wear your favorite Halloween costume—or come as you are! Costumes are encouraged but completely optional. This event is for individuals 16 and over. Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay for the dance (either at the party or in a nearby room). This will be held at our office (The English Foundation Building, 615 N Alabama St). We hope to see you there for a fun afternoon with friends, dancing, and Halloween festivities!

October 24 – DSI D.A.D.S. Hayride

We invite all families of individuals with Down syndrome to join us for a warm fire, good food and fellowship at Spencer’s U-Pick Farm in Noblesville, IN 3-7 PM. For those who have attended in the past, you can expect the similar fun events for the kids (hayride, games and, of course, S’MORES). The only thing you’ll need to bring is an appetite, your favorite warm wool sweater, chairs or picnic blanket and maybe a camera to capture some fun family moments. Location: Spencer’s U-Pick Farm, 7177 E. 161st St., Noblesville, IN 46062-6945. (*please note that there is parking close to location within the Farm – more information will be sent after you register!). This event is totally FREE, but we want to make sure we have enough supplies for everyone, so please let us know you’re coming! RSVP at this link!

October 27 – DSI Terre Haute Trunk or Treat

Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute has been invited to be part of a Trunk or Treat, hosted by Happiness Bag . Our group will have a decorated trunk along with some Halloween goodies to pass out! Come see us on Tuesday, October 27th between 5:30-7:30pm at Happiness Bag (3833 Union Rd. Terre Haute).

November 7 – DSI Terre Haute Mom’s Night Out

Join Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute at Olive Garden for our 2nd Mom’s Night Out on Saturday, November 7th at 5PM! If you weren’t able to join us for our first gathering, we’d love to have you with us this time! Whether you’re a new mom or have been on this journey for years, this is a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy dinner, share the joys, challenges, and ask questions that come with raising a child with Down syndrome, and encourage one another along the way. November 7 – DSI Baby and Toddler Fall Playdate

Looking for a fun way to connect with other parents and little ones? Join the DSI Baby & Toddler Community Group for a playdate at Broad Ripple Park Family Center (1426 Broad Ripple Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220). We will be meeting in the multipurpose room from 9:30AM-11:30AM. Fall crafts and light refreshments will be provided! Enjoy a cozy indoor play space where kids can have fun and parents can relax, chat, and make new friends. We’d love to see you there!

November 14 – DSI Annual Conference

Join Down Syndrome Indiana on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 11:30AM – 2:30PM, for an engaging virtual webinar: Supporting Positive Behavior in Children and Teens with Down Syndrome, featuring Dr. David Stein. This event will include a 90-minute keynote presentation and Q&A with Dr. Stein, offering expert insights into fostering positive behavior and a 60-minute interactive breakout session moderated by local experts, covering a range of behavior-related topics. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn practical strategies and connect with professionals dedicated to supporting individuals with Down Syndrome. Please note that this conference will NOT be recorded.

December 5 – DSI Annual Holiday Dance and Desserts

Bring your dancing shoes and holiday spirit! DSI Holiday Dance and Desserts will be Saturday, December 5, 2026 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at The Murat Shrine Center, right across from the DSI office! (510 N New Jersey St, 46204) Activities will also include dancing, a DJ, Santa, crafts and desserts.

December 7 – DSI Terre Haute Cookies and Cocoa with Santa

SANTA is coming to visit!
Join us on Monday, December 7th between 5-7pm at Mt. Pleasant Church (3050 E. Davis Dr. Terre Haute) to visit with Santa and get your picture taken. This would also be a great opportunity to get a family holiday photo if you’d like! We will also have cookies, from Ginger’s Gluten Free Goodness, and cocoa available as a snack. Santa will also have a small gift for his visitors. We hope to see you there!
