August 11 – DSI D.A.D.S. Monthly Meeting

The DSI chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome will be meeting Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 6:30 PM at George’s Neighborhood Grill (6935 Lake Plaza Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46220).  DSI D.A.D.S. will pick up the check for your meal and the soft drinks. (Alcoholic drinks are available but you pay for those on your own.)

August 29 – Black Family Village of DSI Summer Wrap Up Party 

Black Family Village of DSI is hosting their rescheduled Summer Wrap Up Party on Saturday, August 29th from 2-4PM at Fredrick Douglas Park, located at 1616 E. 25th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218. There will be games, food, and music. Whether you are new to our community or have been part of it for years, we’d love for you to join us. September 2 – DSI Cuenta Conmigo Monthly Meeting

Cuenta Conmigo es un grupo de apoyo a padres de niños con síndrome de Down en Español.  Los temas varían mes con mes.  Las reuniones son el primer Miércoles de cada mes de 6 a 8 p.m. en 615 N. Alabama Street, Indianápolis IN 46204. Para mas información contacte cuentaconmigo@dsindiana.org.

Cuenta Conmigo is a Spanish-speaking group for parents who have a child with Down syndrome. The meeting topics focus on a wide range of pertinent information.  The meetings will be from 6pm – 8pm located at 615 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. September 5 – DSI Terre Haute Bowling Fun

Join Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute for a fun morning of connection and family time at the Terre Haute Bowling Center on Saturday, September 5th from 11am-1pm! Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute will cover the cost for our families to enjoy bowing and the bounce area. Whether you’re knocking down pins or bouncing with friends, this is a great opportunity to relax, have fun, and connect with other families in our local Down syndrome community. Fun for everyone! September 12 – The Down Right Perfect Ride

Join us on Saturday, September 12 for a day of community, scenic roads, and support for individuals with Down syndrome across Indiana. This annual motorcycle ride brings together riders, families, and supporters to raise funds for Down Syndrome Indiana’s statewide programs and services, including new parent support, educational resources, advocacy, self-advocate opportunities, family events, and more. Registration begins at 10:30 AM, with kickstands up at 12:00 PM from Flashbacks Bar and Grille, 6835 E Southport Rd, Indianapolis, IN  46237.  Whether you’re an experienced rider or simply want to support a great cause, we’d love to have you join us for this rain-or-shine event. Every mile ridden helps create more opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to learn, live, work, and thrive in their communities. We hope to see you there! $20 for riders, $10 for passengers!

September 12 – Auesome Fall Fest

Join Ausome Indy, Down Syndrome Indiana, and Autism Society of Indiana for a fun-filled Fall Fest at Piney Acres from 12:00–3:00 PM! Enjoy an afternoon of fall activities, hayrides, gem mining, and more while connecting with families and friends. Registration opens soon! For now, save the date!

September 19 at 9 AM- Buddy Walk® Lafayette

Buddy Walk® Lafayette is a joyful community celebration that honors individuals with Down syndrome while raising awareness and funds to support the mission of Down Syndrome Indiana. Families, friends, and community supporters come together to walk, connect, and celebrate the incredible contributions of individuals with Down syndrome. Funds raised help provide vital programs, education, advocacy, and support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families across Indiana. Join us on September 19th 2026 at 9 AM at Exploration Acres! Whether you create a team, join a team, or simply come to cheer others on, Buddy Walk Lafayette is a powerful day of inclusion, celebration, and community.

October 3 – Black Family Village of DSI Reunion 

Join DSI Black Family Village as we gather at the Indianapolis Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 3rd at the White River State Park. We would like for everyone to meet up at the vendor tent at 9:30A.M. Bring a picnic lunch for after the walk, meet up with other families, and enjoy all the fun and festivities of the walk together. We hope you’ll join us for this special day! October 17 – DSI Terre Haute at Hobson Farm 

Fall is a wonderful time of year, and Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute annual trip to Hobson Farm is always one of our best attended family events! Join us on October 17th from 11AM-3PM for a day of fall fun as families enjoy all the activities Hobson Farm has to offer and making memories together. Lunch will also be provided like years past. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your family while building friendships and connecting with other families in our local Down syndrome community. October 17 – DSI Self-Advocate Halloween Dance 

Join the DSI Self Advocates on Saturday, October 17th from 1:00 – 3:00PM for a Halloween Dance! Wear your favorite Halloween costume—or come as you are! Costumes are encouraged but completely optional. This event is for individuals 16 and over. Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay for the dance (either at the party or in a nearby room).  This will be held at our office (The English Foundation Building, 615 N Alabama St). We hope to see you there for a fun afternoon with friends, dancing, and Halloween festivities!

October 24 – DSI D.A.D.S. Hayride

We invite all families of individuals with Down syndrome to join us for a warm fire, good food and fellowship at Spencer’s U-Pick Farm in Noblesville, IN. For those who have attended in the past, you can expect the similar fun events for the kids (hayride, games and, of course, S’MORES). The only thing you’ll need to bring is an appetite, your favorite warm wool sweater, chairs or picnic blanket and maybe a camera to capture some fun family moments. Location: Spencer’s U-Pick Farm, 7177 E. 161st St., Noblesville, IN 46062-6945. (*please note that there is parking close to location within the Farm – more information will be sent after you register!). This event is totally FREE, but we want to make sure we have enough supplies for everyone, so please let us know you’re coming! RSVP at this link!

November 7 – DSI Terre Haute Mom’s Night Out 

Join Down Syndrome Indiana Terre Haute at Olive Garden for our 2nd Mom’s Night Out on Saturday, November 7th at 5PM! If you weren’t able to join us for our first gathering, we’d love to have you with us this time! Whether you’re a new mom or have been on this journey for years, this is a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy dinner, share the joys, challenges, and ask questions that come with raising a child with Down syndrome, and encourage one another along the way.
