Down Syndrome Indiana offers a variety of special education resources to help families navigate every stage of their child’s educational journey. From understanding IEPs, special education laws, and inclusive practices to guidance on school placements and transitions, DSI provides tools, handouts, and recorded trainings to empower families. Our team also offers direct support, including attending IEP meetings and assisting with educational planning from preschool through high school at no cost to families.

For Education Professionals
Down Syndrome Indiana offers individualized educational support for schools and families to promote successful learning outcomes for students with Down syndrome. This includes a Welcome Packet, a friendly introduction to the Down syndrome community with helpful resources, contact information, and a welcome gift. DSI also provides classroom and student-specific support, including presentations, team coaching, and hands-on guidance to help educators implement effective adaptations and inclusive practices. Extended or multiple visits allow for individualized coaching on curriculum and classroom supports. Email and phone consultations are also available.
